Language IO Case for Salesforce | Setting your Custom Settings
Your Language IO Case custom settings include required settings and customizable options.
Creating a Set of Custom Settings
- Go to Setup → Custom Settings → "Language IO Case Public Settings" (click "Manage").
- There are two "New" buttons:
- Click the upper "New" button to define the default settings for all users.
- Click the lower "New" button to define settings for a specific profile or user.
Required Settings
- In the "Named Credential" field, enter the API name of your Named Credential.
- In the "Locale Field Name" field, enter the API name of the custom field on your Case object that stores the Case's customer language value.
- Click "Save".
Optional Settings

| Auto-Send Email Draft | Automatically send translated email drafts. |
| Default to Human Translation | For RHT, list the languages (by code) that should always default to human translation. |

Regular Expression for Description |
A Salesforce-compatible regex that matches the description content to be translated (e.g. the content of the most recent message in a thread). If no content is matched, the entire description is translated. |
| Email Draft Divider | A Salesforce-compatible regex that delimits the end of email draft content to be translated. Language IO will translate the email draft content before this delimiter. |
| Hide Email Options and Hide Post Comments Options | For RHT, uncheck this setting to show agents the options to translate email drafts or comments using RHT or MT. |
| Email Content Type | Defines the email draft content type as HTML or text. Default: HTML. |
| Only Show Translations in Plugin | Check this setting to only show Language IO Case Translation component translations in the component. Otherwise, they are also posted to the Case Feed. |
| Post Comments Are Public | Check this setting to make comments posted through the Language IO Case Translation component public. |
| Auto Save Delay | Time (in milliseconds) the app waits after the agent clicks to translate their email draft before translating (allows time for the email draft to save). |
| Append Source | Append the source content to the translation of an email draft. |
| Disable Retranslate | Checked to disable retranslation in the Language IO Case Translation component. |
| E-mail Action Names | Comma-separated list of the SendEmail quick actions on your page layout. See Mapping the correct Email Action Name in Custom Settings. |
| Enable Feed Translation | Check to enable Feed item translation in the Language IO Case Translation component |
| Agent Language Preference | API name of the custom User field the app should use for the agent language instead of their Salesforce locale. See Allowing agents to select their preferred language. |
| Case Language Preference | API name of the custom Case field the app should use for the agent language instead of their Salesforce locale. See Allowing agents to select their preferred language. |
| Apply Language Preference to All Cases | Persist the agent's "Case Language Preference" field value to other Cases. See Allowing agents to select their preferred language. |
| Enable Draft Email Subject Translation | Check to allow translation of the email draft subject. |
| Show Subject | Check to make the Case Subject available for translation in the Language IO Case Translation component. |
| Treat Comments as Foreign | Check to enable translation of case comments from customer language into the agent language in the Language IO Case Translation component. |
| Custom Status Field | API name of the custom Case field to store the current translation status. |
| Human Word Count Field Name | API name of the custom Case field to store the running human translation word count. |
| Machine Word Count Field Name | API name of the custom Case field to store the running machine translation word count. |
| Status on Pending and Status on Update | Define custom values for the "Custom Status Field" when the translation is updated or pending. |
| Update Status only on Human | Check to update the "Custom Status Field" only for RHT. |
| Enable Activity Translation | Check to make Tasks and Events available for translation in the Language IO Case Translation component. |
| Disable TQE | Uncheck to enable Translation Quality Estimate (TQE). |

Email Draft Translation Type, Post Comment Translation Type, Re-translation Type, and Description/Activity Translation Type

Set the default translation type for the relevant content type as "machine" or "human". Default: "machine". |
| Enforce Word Count Threshold and Word Count Alert Threshold | Set an email draft translation word count threshold and show a warning or prevent translation if the threshold is exceeded. |
| Enable Attachment Translation | Check to enable inbound Case attachment translation. |
