Installing Language IO Chat for Salesforce

Caution: As of February 2026, Salesforce has deprecated legacy Chat. Language IO no longer maintains this product. This documentation is for reference. To install Language IO for Salesforce Enhanced Chat, go to Installing Language IO for Salesforce Enhanced Chat.
Important: The latest version is Release 2.46.5 (See Release Notes).
Note: This is step 1 of 5 to install Language IO Chat for Salesforce.

Installation URL

Important: To complete the installation URL, replace "{my_salesforce_domain}" with your Salesforce domain (e.g., "https://languageio.my.salesforce.com/packaging/installPackage...").
  1. Language IO Chat 2.42.3:
    • https://{my_salesforce_domain}/packaging/installPackage.apexp?p0=04t2M000002imzk
  2. Language IO Chat 2.46.2:
    • https://{my_salesforce_domain}/packaging/installPackage.apexp?p0=04tKc000000kZge
  3. Language IO Chat 2.46.5: 
    • https://{my_salesforce_domain}/packaging/installPackage.apexp?p0=04tKc000000LsoW

Installing the Package

Important: When upgrading from version 2.42.2 or older, you must upgrade to version 2.42.3 and then 2.46.2 before upgrading to 2.46.5. 
Complete the steps below for each version in order using the installation URLs above.
  1. In a browser, enter the installation URL.
  2. If prompted, log in to your Salesforce org.
  3. Select "Install for All Users".
  4. Click "Install" (or "Upgrade").
  5. A message describes the progress. You will receive a confirmation message when the installation is complete.

Proceed to Step 2: Create a Named Credential.
