Translating Messaging components with the Language IO Secure Page Translator
The purpose of this article is to show how you can use the Language IO Secure Page Translator to translate Messaging components.
Important: Before you start your translation process, you must make sure that your Messaging components are ready for translation. You must have the Language IO Secure Page Translator extension installed and be logged in to translate content.
Steps
- Log in to Salesforce and go to Setup. Search for the Translation workbench:
- The Translate page opens. In your toolbar, click the Language IO icon
to open the extension. Log in if necessary. Your screen should look like this:
(Click to enlarge)- Make sure that the Language is set to the desired language and that the Object is set to "Constant Values".
- Unfortunately, it s not possible to select and copy the text directly from the Primary Constant Value field. In a separate tab or window, open the Messaging component itself:
- Select the text you want to translate (in this case, the Title), then right-click and select Language IO - Translate:
- The extension translates the text. Click the Copy to clipboard icon to copy the translation:
- Return to the translation workbench. Double-click on the Constant Value Translation row for the desired value and paste the translation:
(Click to enlarge) - Repeat Steps 4 to 6 until you have translated all the values that you want to translate. When you finish, click Save.
