Setting up the Language IO Enhanced Chat permission set

This document outlines the permissions that are included in the Language IO Enhanced Chat permission set. These permissions are necessary to allow users to use the Language IO Application.

Apex classes, custom objects, and permissions

  • LioChat
  • LiveAgentTranslator
  • Rating
  • RatingVisitor
• Custom objects:
  • Language IO Sessions:
    • Read
    • Create
    • Edit
    • Delete
    • View All
    • Modify All.
  • Language IO Translation Entries:
    • Read
    • Create
    • Edit
    • Delete
    • View All
    • Modify All
• Edit permission required for the following custom fields:
  • Language IO Sessions:
    • Description
    • Locale
    • Translation Enabled
    • Word Count
  • Language IO Translation Entries:
    • Message
    • Message Type
    • Original Message
    • Timestamp
    • User Name

Assigning Users to the permission set

1. Go to Setup and search for Permission sets. Find the Language IO Messaging User permission set and click to open it:

2. Click Manage Assignments:

3. Click on Add Assignment and select the users that you want to add to the permission set.
4. When you finish selecting all relevant users, click Next, then Assign.

When you finish, proceed to Step 5: Adding the Enhanced Chat Component to the Lightning Record Pages.
