Language IO Secure Page Translator | Installing, Checking the Version, and Updating the Browser Extension

The article guides users through installing, checking the version, and updating the Language IO Secure Page Translator browser extension in Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge.

Note: While many Chromium-based browsers support Chrome extensions, Language IO officially supports this extension only in Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.
Google Chrome

Installing

  1. Open Google Chrome.
  2. Follow this link to the Language IO Secure Page Translator extension.
  3. Click the "Add to Chrome" button:

  4. In the pop-up, click "Add extension" to confirm:
  5. (Recommended) To keep your new extension visible, click the Extensions icon (puzzle piece icon) to the right of the address bar and select the Pin icon (pin icon) next to the Language IO Secure Page Translator extension.
  6. You may now proceed to log in.

Checking the Installed Version

  1. Open Chrome.
  2. Go to chrome://extensions or click the Extensions icon (puzzle piece icon) → "Manage Extensions".
  3. Locate the "Language IO Secure Page Translator" extension card and version number.

Updating

Chrome automatically checks for and installs updates on startup and every few hours. If the extension was not updated automatically, try closing and reopening the extension.

If your organization has pinned a specific version of the extension, it will not update automatically. Please contact your IT team.
Microsoft Edge

Installing

  1. Open Microsoft Edge.
  2. Follow this link to the Language IO Secure Page Translator extension.
  3. Click the "Get" button:
  4. In the pop-up, click "Add extension" to confirm:
  5. (Recommended) To keep your new extension visible, click the Extensions icon (puzzle piece icon) to the right of the address bar and select the Pin icon (pin icon) next to the Language IO Secure Page Translator extension.
  6. You may now proceed to log in.

Checking the Installed Version

  1. Open Microsoft Edge.
  2. Go to edge://extensions or click the Extensions icon (puzzle piece icon) → "Manage Extensions".
  3. Locate the "Language IO Secure Page Translator" extension card and click "Details".
  4. Locate the version number beneath the extension name.

Updating

Edge automatically checks for and installs updates on startup and every few hours. If the extension was not updated automatically, try quiting and reopening the browser.
