Setting up OAuth for Zendesk Guide and Language IO Parallel Rapid Human Translation
This article describes how to establish an OAuth connection from Language IO to your Zendesk instance for:
- Zendesk Guide article translation.
- Rapid Human Translation (RHT) in the Language IO Parallel app for Zendesk Support.
Note: These instructions do not apply to the Language IO Inline app for Zendesk Support. To set up an OAuth connection from your Zendesk instance to Language IO for Language IO Inline, please see Installing Language IO Inline for Zendesk.
Important: You must sign in to the Language IO Customer Self-Service Portal (CSSP) as an admin user to complete these steps. If you do not have a CSSP admin user account, submit a support request.
Establishing or Reauthenticating the OAuth Connection
- Log in to your Zendesk instance as an admin.
- Open the relevant URL in a new tab:
- Language IO Parallel: https://golinguist.com/linguistnow/consumer/response-oauth.
- Zendesk Guide: https://golinguist.com/linguistnow/consumer/help-oauth.
- Log in with your CSSP admin user credentials.
- You are redirected to your Zendesk instance to authorize access.
- Click "Allow".
- The connection is established. You are redirected to a Language IO page with a message stating that OAuth was successful.
