Creating a macro for Outbound Translations
Note: This is an abridged guide to create a macro in Intercom. For more information about creating and managing macros in Intercom, see Creating and managing macros in the Intercom documentation (This link opens a third-party website that is not managed by Language I/O).
Creating a macro
- Go to Settings > Inbox > Macros, and click + New macro.
- Give your macro a unique title, for example "Translate with Language I/O".
- Enter
#lio
as the content to include when you use this macro. This ensures the message you create when you use this macro will always be translated. - Set the availability options as "Everyone" and "Adding Notes":
- Click the Save button at the top.
You can now use the macro to translate your replies without having to always add the #lio
code manually every time.
