Enabling Translation Optimization in the Language IO component for Salesforce Chat and Enhanced Chat

This article describes how you can enable translation optimization in the Language IO component for Salesforce Chat and Enhanced Chat. 

Translation Optimization is a feature available in Language IO Chat for Salesforce from version 2.44 and later, and in Language IO Enhanced Chat for Salesforce from version 1.15 and later.

Recommendation

Language IO recommends to organizations that have a large number of agents to enact a gradual implementation, and enable this feature for a limited number of profiles or users at a time. This is to provide agents sufficient time for training and prevent potential support request bottlenecks.

Enabling translation optimization

1. Go to:
   • For Chat (shown below): Setup > Custom Settings > Language IO Chat Public Settings > Manage.
   • For Enhanced Chat: Setup > Custom Settings > Language IO Messaging Public Settings > Manage. 
     The Custom Settings page opens:

2. Check the box next to "Enable Translation Optimization".
3. Click Save and exit.
