Setting up Language IO Case for Salesforce
Note: This is step 4 of 6 to install Language IO Case for Salesforce.
Before you proceed with the set up of public and custom settings for your Language IO application, complete the following steps after installing the application in your Salesforce instance.
Initial Set Up
- (Optional) See the Prerequisites to set up a language field. This is the field used to set and store the language or locale for the case, either with a defined workflow, or through language auto-detection by Language IO.
Note: If you did not define a workflow to populate this field, the Language IO server populates it automatically if it is left empty during a translation request to the Language IO service.
- If you do not have email drafts enabled on the site, enable them. For more information, see Enabling the translation of draft emails.
- (Optional) If you need to set up an HTML form to test case creation in a test org, go to Customize > Self Service > Web-To-Case and enable “Case Feed”.
-
(Optional: for Human Translation only) Set the necessary user permissions to allow Language IO to connect to your instance (if you have not already done it in the prerequisites):
- All objects installed with Language IO Account
- Case
- CaseComment
- EmailMessage
- Name
- OpenActivity
- Task
- Email to Case for some features.
Note: To add a new user in Salesforce, see this Salesforce documentation. If you do not have permissions to add a new user to your org, ask your Salesforce administrator to create one with the permissions listed above.
After you install the package, proceed to Step 5: Language IO Case for Salesforce - Custom Settings.
