General improvements
March 16, 2026: Web Application 1.6.3
Fixed
Language fields bug affecting user experience
A bug was found that caused issues with the language fields in the side panel, which impacted how users could use the application. This is now fixed.
March 4, 2026: Extension 2.5.1
Improved
Improved support for the translation of content within iframes
The Secure Page Translator is better now at detecting and translating the content of iframes within a page, so that a user can understand all the content on the page. This is particularly useful in ticketing systems that rely heavily on iframes to format their user interface, and Single Page Applications (SPA).
When a user requests a full page translation, and there are any iframes on the page, a message appears within the iframe(s) directing the user to click to translate.
Improved user control over language settings
Until now, when a user had the extension side panel open and a source language selected, when they opened a new tab to handle additional content, the source language would be reset to the new tab’s language.
Now, when a source language different than the one on the page is selected, it does not update when the user opens a new tab, so that the user can continue pasting content in this language while viewing other tabs.
Fixed
Autodetection failing for Simplified Chinese
A bug was found where, when a user was running a full page translation on a Chinese URL, the language detection in the extension would not show “Simplified Chinese” until they clicked "Translate". In addition, “Simplified Chinese” in the toggle display would not show properly. This is now fixed.
