Installing Language I/O Batch Help in Oracle Service Cloud
The purpose of this article is to guide Oracle Service Cloud administrators through the installation and configuration processes of the Language I/O Batch Help add-in for Answer translation.
Note: This process requires additional configuration by Language I/O to connect your integration with translation providers. Check with your Language I/O Customer Success Manager for details.
Installing the Language I/O Batch Help Add-In
- In the Ribbon, go to Configuration > Site Configuration > Add-In Manager and click on the New icon. Upload the Language I/O Batch add-in ZIP file that you can find at the end of this article when prompted.
- After you upload the add-in, return to the Ribbon and select the Profile Access button.
- Enable the add-in for your profile to be able to update the Server Configuration Properties in future steps.
- In the Ribbon, click Save & Close.
- Restart the Agent Desktop application to register your changes.
- Return to the Profile Access section of the Add-In Manager.
- Enable any profile and interface that will use the Add-In, and set the Server Configuration Properties accordingly:

Site_LinguistNowLogin: This private value is unique to your OSC instance. Contact your Language I/O Customer Success Manager if you did not receive it.
Site_LinguistNowUrl: Leave the default https://golinguist.com/linguistnow/resources/ unless otherwise instructed.Note: Values that start with "Site" must be identical for every enabled profile. - Translation:
Translation_SupportLocale: This number represents the ID of the language that the help articles were originally written in. English is 1. If your articles are written in another language and you do not know its ID, contact your Language I/O Customer Success Manager.

Setting the Necessary Profile Permissions
- Go to Configuration > Staff Management > Profiles.
- For each profile that will use the add-in, go to Permissions and enable all "Public SOAP API" and "Public Knowledge Foundation API "permissions.
Creating or Modifying an Answer Report to Include the Add-In
- Go to Analytics > Reports Explorer and open the selected report to edit it.
- In the Ribbon, select Records. Expand Answer and select "Language I/O Batch Translate".
- Click OK.
Note: Reports must contain Answer ID and Answer Summary columns for the Add-In to work.
