Language I/O Chat for Salesforce - Troubleshooting Installation Issues
The purpose of this article is to help you diagnose and fix issues that may arise during the installation of the Language I/O Chat for Salesforce app.
Setting up a community
Make sure that the community site that you want to use to chat with customers is configured correctly before you start the installation. You must set up a community and set up a Chat for this community to use the Language I/O app.
External Credential and Named Credential Configuration
External Credential
When you create a new External Credential Custom Header, you must replace the {{Credential_Name}}
placeholder in the customer header formula template that Language I/O provides with the name that you gave the External Credential. Make sure to copy or write down the name of the External Credential so that you can make the substitution without error:
{!'Basic ' & BASE64ENCODE(BLOB($Credential.{{Credential_Name}}.Username &
':' & $Credential.{{Credential_Name}}.Password))}
Otherwise, you will be forced to pause the installation while you search for it before you can continue.
Named Credential
When you create a Named Credential, remember to copy or write down the name of the Named Credential so that you can use it when you configure the Custom Settings. Otherwise, you will be forced to pause the installation while you search for it before you can continue.
Connection issues during installation
It may happen that from one step to the next the data you enter is not saved because your connection briefly cut or timed out. If this happens, simply go back one step and repeat the operation that failed. These kinds of connection issues typically resolve themselves very quickly without the need for intervention.
