Release Notes - Language I/O for Salesforce Messaging version 1.14
These are the Release Notes for version 1.14, released April 29th, 2024.
If you are installing the application for the first time, see the installation instructions in Setting up Language I/O Chat in Salesforce (admin guide) for the installation link.
Improved
Showing the agent's alias instead of their default name
Until now, when an agent sent a translated outbound message, the Language I/O component showed the agent's default name under the message instead of the agent's alias. Starting with this version, the component can now be set to display the agent’s chosen alias instead.
Fixed
Upgrade no longer requires deleting custom components
To upgrade to the previous versions 1.13 or 1.13.1, it was necessary to delete several existing custom components in order for the upgrade to complete successfully. We fixed the cause of this condition so that this additional step is no longer required, and you can now upgrade to 1.14 from any older version without having to edit these settings.
No Messages displaying in Language I/O app
A bug was found where sometimes, when the Language I/O Messaging app loaded, it did not show agents content that was shown in the standard component, and the translation toggle was stuck in the "off" position. This is now fixed and the Language I/O app behaves as expected.
Component error with Facebook messages
A bug was found where, when an agent accepted a messaging session through a Facebook standard channel and the agent either opened the Language I/O Messaging component tab, or toggled translation on, either action triggered a component error and the messages were only visible in the standard component but not in the Language I/O component. This is now fixed and the Language I/O app behaves as expected.
Customer Messages not displaying Language I/O app
A bug was found where the incoming customer messages sometimes would not display in the Language I/O component tab. This is now fixed and all messages show as expected.
Horizontal scroll bar in the User Interface
A bug was found where a horizontal scroll bar would sometimes appear at the bottom of the Language I/O component tab, hiding the retranslate, re-detect, and show translation buttons. This is now fixed.
