Enabling Translation Optimization in the Language I/O component for Salesforce Chat and Messaging

This article describes how you can enable translation optimization in the Language I/O component for Salesforce Chat and Messaging. 

Translation Optimization is a feature available in Language I/O Chat for Salesforce from version 2.44 and later, and in Language I/O Messaging for Salesforce from version 1.15 and later.

Recommendation

Language I/O recommends to organizations that have a large number of agents to enact a gradual implementation, and enable this feature for a limited number of profiles or users at a time. This is to provide agents sufficient time for training and prevent potential support request bottlenecks.

Enabling translation optimization

1. Go to:
   • For Chat (shown below): Setup > Custom Settings > Language I/O Chat Public Settings > Manage.
   • For Messaging: Setup > Custom Settings > Language I/O Messaging Public Settings > Manage.
     The Custom Settings page opens:

2. Check the box next to "Enable Translation Optimization".
3. Click Save and exit.
