Release Notes - Language I/O for Salesforce Messaging version 1.10
These are the Release Notes for version 1.10, released December 18th, 2023.
If you are installing the application for the first time, see the installation instructions in Setting up Language I/O Chat in Salesforce (admin guide) for the installation link.
New
Re-detect Locale
Agents now have the ability to re-detect the language of the end-user. This can be useful if the initial locale is missing or inaccurate, or if the language changes during the conversation.
Retranslate
In addition to the ability to re-detect the language, agents can also request a new translation using the second-priority engine if they are not satisfied with a given translation.
Quality Rating Flags for Agents
Agents can now use rating flags to offer feedback if they are not satisfied with the quality of a translation. These ratings flags are recorded and Language I/O uses this feedback to continuously refine the selection of translation engines, improve glossaries, etc.
Quick Text Support
The quick text functionality is now available on the Language I/O Messaging component, so that agents can add quick texts to the conversation without having to switch back to the conversation tab. They can use it to create or insert quick texts from within the Language I/O Messaging component. The feature functions the same as in Chat and is applicable for standard and for enhanced conversations.
Improved
Improvements to the User Interface
We made the following improvements to the Messaging UI:
- The "eye" icons were updated.
- There is a "redetect" button (“looking glass” icon).
- We removed the “enabled/disabled” text under the “Translate” toggle.
- The "retranslate" icon was updated.
- The shade of yellow of text bubbles is slightly different.
This applies to both standard and enhanced conversation UIs.
