Expected behaviour of the Language I/O plugin with Enhanced Messaging
As of September 2023, the following behaviour is expected of the Language I/O Messaging package for Enhanced Messaging:
Default conversation tab
To use the Language I/O application, you must use the default conversation tab that contains the standard Salesforce component for Enhanced Messaging. You can open the Language I/O app only after you open the conversation tab and its components.
Conversation Participant entries not visible
If the end-user closes the conversation, then reopens it after a short period of time (less than five minutes), this might cause some participant history entries to drop from the "LIO" tab.
For example, compare these two screenshots of the standard tab (top) and the "LIO" tab (bottom). Note how the highlighted entries on the standard tab are not present on the "LIO" tab:
This is caused by the way Salesforce tracks the conversation: because records are added to the Salesforce database asynchronously, if a conversation is closed and then re-opened in a short period of time, the latest records might not yet be saved to the database.
To solve the issue, simply refresh the browser page after a couple of minutes have passed.
