Setting up locally stored Custom Auto Responses
Note: This is step 5 of 5 to install Language IO Chat for Salesforce. This step is optional.
Regardless of whether you use the Classic or Lightning interface, you can use locally stored auto responses (as opposed to stored on the Language IO server) and timeout messages for chat sessions.
Info: Auto-responses are responses that you want the end user to see automatically when they open a session. Timeout messages are messages that appear when the Language IO Chat App times out after attempting to communicate with the Language IO server.
To set up Auto Responses and Timeouts by locale, you must add custom object tabs.
Note: The plugin starts with the most specific locale (for example,
es-la). If there is no match, the plugin checks the root locale (es). If it still find no match, it defaults to en when it selects a message. To add custom object tabs, follow these steps:
