Adding the Chat Component to the Lightning Record Pages
Note: This is step 4 of 5 to install Language IO Chat for Salesforce.
To configure your Language IO application in Salesforce, follow these steps:
- Open Salesforce and go to Setup > Object Manager.
- Click Chat Transcript:
- Click Lightning Record Pages, then click on the record page that belongs to the app in which you will use the plugin.
- Click Edit:
- Create a new tab with a custom label (for example "Language IO" or "Translations"):
- If a Tabs component already exists, click on it. If you have not added a Tabs component to the Page, add it, then click on it.
- In the right-hand panel, under the Tabs section, click Add Tab.
- Click on the new tab in the list. Open the Tab Label dropdown, and select Custom (this is the very first option at the top of the dropdown list).
- Change the Custom Label to your preferred label.
- Click Done.
- Your can now see your new custom tab added to your Tabs component.
- From the left pane, drag the Language IO Chat component into the newly created tab:
- Click Save.
Optional: setting up the Customer Rating Flag
The application supports Quality Rating Flags for end users. When you enable this feature, end users can see a flag icon next to the agent's translated message. If they are not satisfied with the translation because it is incorrect or it could be improved, they can click the flag, turning it red. This action is reversible.
If you plan to use the Customer Rating Flag, follow these steps:
- From Setup, look for Embedded Service Deployments in the Quick Find box.
- Click the down arrow next to the desired service deployment.
- Click View:
- Click Edit next to Chat Settings.
- Click Edit next to Customize with Lightning Components.
- Select the lioCustomChat Custom Component for the Chat Messages (Text) Standard Component:
- Click Save.
Proceed to Step 5: Setting up locally stored Custom Auto Responses.
