Configuring the Case Object (Lightning Experience)
Note: This is step 6 of 6 to install Language I/O Case for Salesforce. These instructions are for Salesforce Lightning. For Salesforce Classic, click here.
Editing the Case object Lightning Record Page
- Click on Gear Icon at the top and select Setup:
- Click on Object Manager then Case:
- Click on Lightning Record Page, then click on the record page associated with the case. In the example below, this is LIO Case:
- Click Edit.
Adding the Language I/O Email Translation Custom Component
- From the left pane, drag the Custom or Custom Managed component Language I/O Email Translation and drop it where you want it to appear on the page:
Adding the LIO Case Translation VisualForce component to a Custom Tab
- Click on the empty area in the title bar of the center page and click Add Tab:
- Click on Details tab just above the Add Tab
- Click Details Tab Label.
- Change to Custom type (the very first one).
- Enter a custom label, for example "Language I/O":
- From the center pane, click on “Language I/O” tab.
- Drag a Visualforce component from the left pane and drop it within the Language I/O tab.
- Change Visualforce Page Name to LIO Case Translation.
- Check off Show Label.
- Click Save.
