Configuring the Case Object (Classic Experience)
Note: This is step 6 of 6 to install Language I/O Case for Salesforce. These instructions are for Salesforce Classic. For Salesforce Lightning, click here.
To use the Language I/O Case app in Salesforce, you must first create a Quick Action, then edit Page Layouts.
Creating a Quick Action
When you edit Page Layouts in the next step, you will use the quick action that you create here as a subsection in the feed tab.
- Go to Setup > Case.
- Select Buttons, Links, and Actions
- Click New Action
- Select Custom Visualforce as the Action Type
- Choose LIO Case Translation as the Visualforce Page.
- Enter 300px as the Height
- Enter the text of your choice as a Label, for example "LIO Case translation".
Note: The Name of the Quick Action is based on the Label you enter.
- Click Save.
Editing Page Layouts
Adding the Quick Action to the page layout
- Go to Setup > Customize > Cases > Page Layouts.
- Click Edit in the "Action" column next to "Case Layout" to add Language I/O add-ins:
- Click on Quick Actions
- Drag "LIO Case Translation" (bottom highlight) into the section named Quick Actions in the Salesforce Classic Publisher (top highlight):
- Click Quick Save to save your changes.
To add the email draft control to the feed view:
- Click Feed View at the top.
- Scroll down to "Other Tools and Components".
- Click Add a Visualforce page.
- Select Lio_TranslateDraftPlugin.
- Click the right arrow button to move the "Lio_TranslateDraftPlugin" component from the Hidden column to the Right Column.
- Scroll back up to the top and click Save.
- Click Save again.
Note: Repeat the steps above to edit Case (Support) Layout, or other applicable layouts.
