Enabling the Language I/O Chat Demo Kit in Salesforce Lightning (SF Sales Engineers Guide)
The purpose of this document is to guide Salesforce Sales Engineers (SEs) through the installation and configuration of the Language I/O Demo Kit. The Demo Kit, as its name indicates, allows SEs to create demos to show their team or potential customers how the Language I/O translation services integrate with Salesforce to give agents the capacity to engage with end-users in multiple languages.
This installation process only applies to Salesforce SEs. If you are not a Salesforce SE, go to Setting up Language I/O Chat in Salesforce (admin guide).
Important: The following instructions constitute the third and final step of the installation. If you have not installed the Demo KIt yet, go to the Salesforce Demo Kit Landing Page and follow the instructions. Then, return to this page to finish the process.
- In the Salesforce Setup screen, click on Object Manager to open it (not the arrow):
- Click on Chat Transcript:
- Go to Lightning Record Pages, and click on Language I/O Chat Demo.
- Click View:
- In the top-right corner, click Activation.
- Select the App Default tab, then click Assign as App Default:
- Select the Lightning App that you want to use as demo.
Tip: Often, this is the Service Console. - Click Next twice, then Save.
- Exit the Lightning App Builder.
