Deactivating or removing the Language I/O Chrome extension

Deactivating the extension

To deactivate the extension temporarily, but keep it installed in your browser, follow these steps:

1. In Chrome, click to open the three-dot menu in the upper-right corner, and select Settings:
   
2. In the Setting section, open Extensions. Find the Language I/O - Translate extension, and click the toggle at the bottom-right corner to deactivate it:
   
3. The button turns grey to indicate the extension is no longer active:
   

Your extension is now deactivated and you can no longer use it to translate texts from within the browser. To reactivate it, repeat the steps above and click the toggle to set the extension as active again.

Removing the extension

To completely uninstall the extension from your browser, follow these steps:

1. In Chrome, click to open the three-dot menu in the upper-right corner, and select Settings:
   
2. In the Setting section, open Extensions. Find the Language I/O - Translate extension, and click the Remove button:
   
3. A message pops up to request confirmation. Click Remove to confirm, or Cancel to abandon the process:
   

Once you confirm the removal, the browser no longer has the extension. To reinstall it, you must follow the Installation steps again, and log back in with your existing account.
